A scholarship fund created in honor of Dr. Frederic H. Kass, III, as one of the founders of Hospice of Washington County (HWC) and for his service as medical director since 1980. This scholarship is awarded each year to an employee of HWC or an immediate family member of an HWC employee, or to a resident of Washington County, MD, who is a graduating high school senior and accepted to an accredited college majoring in a healthcare field, or to a resident of Washington County, MD, who is a current student at an accredited college majoring in a healthcare field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
